New Engineering Building – Patriot Circle and York River Road

(Directions are written using the Nottoway River Lane entrance off Braddock Road)
From Oakton, Vienna, and McLean
Take Route 123 South through the City of Fairfax. After passing the first entrance to the university (Univ. Drive), proceed to Braddock Road and turn left. At the second light, turn left onto Nottoway River Lane. Follow the road until it splits – you can see our building in front of you. Take a right at the fork in the road. You are now on Patriot Circle.

From Manassas
Take Route 28 South to 234 North. Proceed on 234 North and exit at I-66 East. Stay on I-66 and exit at the Fairfax County Parkway (7100/South). Proceed on Fairfax County Parkway and exit at Braddock Road (620/East). Turn left at signal onto Braddock Road. Proceed on Braddock Road East through traffic light at Route 123. At second light, turn left onto Nottoway River Lane. Follow the road until it splits – you can see our building in front of you. Take the right fork. You are now on Patriot Circle.

From Winchester and Points West
Take Route 50 East to the Fairfax County Parkway (South) and exit at Braddock Road. Turn left at signal onto Braddock Road. Proceed on Braddock Road North through traffic light at Route 123. At the second light, turn left onto Nottoway River Lane. Follow the road until it splits – you will see our building in front of you. Take the right fork. You are now on Patriot Circle.

From Woodbridge and Points South
Take Route 123 North (Exit #160B, Occoquan/Lake Ridge) for approximately 15 miles and turn right onto Braddock Road. At the second light, turn left onto Nottoway River Lane. Follow the road until it splits – you will see our building in front of you. Take the right fork. You are now on Patriot Circle.

From Washington, D.C. and Points East
Take I-66 West. Approximately 4 miles beyond the Capital Beltway, exit at Route 123 Fairfax-Vienna (Exit 60). Bear left (to 123 South) at exit. Proceed on 123 South for approx. 4.5 miles through the City of Fairfax. Pass the first entrance to the university (Univ. Drive), proceed to Braddock Road and turn left. At the second light, turn left onto Nottoway River Lane. Follow the road until it splits – you will see our building in front of you. Take the right fork. You are now on Patriot Circle.

From RONALD REAGAN WASHINGTON NATIONAL AIRPORT
When exiting the airport, follow the signs to Washington, DC North and to the George Washington Parkway north, to I-395. Once on G.W. Parkway, stay in the middle lane to enter I-395 south to Richmond. Immediately move left 3 lanes to remain on I-395 south. Exit I-395 at I-495 North (exit 1D) to Tysons Corner. Exit I-495 at exit 54, Braddock Road West, and take the westbound fork. Follow Braddock Road West for approximately 6 miles. Turn right at the light at Nottoway River Lane. Bear right at the fork in the road – you will see our building in front of you. You are now on Patriot Circle.

From Maryland and Points North
Take the Capital Beltway (495) over the American Legion Bridge and go approximately 6.5 miles to the I-66 West Exit (Exit 9). Go approximately 4 miles on I-66 and exit at Route 123 Fairfax-Vienna (Exit 60). Bear left (to 123 South) at exit. Proceed on 123 South through the City of Fairfax. After passing the first entrance to the university, proceed to Braddock Road and turn left. At the second light, turn left onto Nottoway River Lane. Follow the road until it splits – you will see our building in front of you. Take the right fork. You are on Patriot Circle.

From WASHINGTON DULLES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
Exit the airport onto the Dulles Access Road, which leads to the Dulles Toll Road at Route 267, Reston Parkway. Exit the Dulles Toll Road (no toll required) at exit 11, Fairfax County Parkway South. Follow the Parkway, and exit at Braddock Road. At the sign, turn left on Braddock Road. Take the second left after Route 123 onto Nottoway River Lane, and merge right at the fork in the road – our building is in front of you. You are now on Patriot Circle.

To Sandy Creek Parking Deck from Patriot Circle
Once on Patriot Circle you will see the back of our building on the left but our building sits at the intersection of York River Road which is one way. Go to the next left off of Patriot Circle to Sandy Creek Way. Take an immediate left into Level 1 Visitor Parking. Take a ticket and bring it with you. We will give you a complimentary visitor “chaser” voucher at our offices.
To The New Volgenau School Engineering Building From Sandy Creek Parking Deck
Walk out of the Parking Deck at Level 2 and walk down York River Road towards Patriot Circle. Our front door is down the sidewalk between Research I and our building. You will be entering on Level 2, which is the Engineering Building’s main lobby. We are on the 5th floor in the Dean’s Suite – rooms 5101 - 5113. There will be a receptionist to welcome you.

Take Route 123 South through the City of Fairfax. After passing the first entrance to the university (University Drive), proceed to Braddock Road and turn left. At the first light, turn left onto Roanoke River Road. Follow the road until it splits at Patriot Circle, then take the right fork.
*To Sandy Creek Parking Deck: Follow Patriot Circle around and take a left at the first stop sign onto Sandy Creek Way. Take an immediate left into the Sandy Creek Parking Deck visitor level. Walk out of the Parking Deck at Level 3 which is at the ground level of the campus buildings. Research I is next to the parking services building (small building next to parking deck on Level 3).
Sandy Creek Parking Deck Instructions: Obtain a parking ticket when you enter the deck and keep the parking ticket with you. When you leave, take your ticket to one of the pay machines by the elevators on levels one and three of the parking deck. Insert your ticket in the pay machine. Pay with either cash or credit card. Once you pay you will have fifteen minutes to exit the deck. To activate the gate insert your parking ticket into the ticket machine at the exit gate and the gate will open.
**To Mason Pond Parking Deck: Turn left onto Mason Pond Drive. Follow Mason Pond Drive to the Parking Deck. Walk out of the Parking Deck at Level 3. Walk past the statue of George Mason. At the clock tower, turn right. Science and Technology II will be the third building on your left. (This building is set back from the sidewalk, between Science and Technology I and Enterprise Hall). Room 100 is on the first floor.
Mason Pond Parking Deck Instructions: Obtain a parking ticket when you enter the deck. When you leave, give your ticket to the attendant at the exit gate. Pay with either cash or Mason Money.
PRINCE WILLIAM CAMPUS
DIRECTIONS TO PRINCE WILLIAM CAMPUS (10900 University Blvd., Manassas, VA 20110) from East or West along I-66 and points North:
From I-495, take exit 49 to 66 West. From I-66, take Exit 44, Route 234 South. Travel approximately 4 miles, and turn left at the fourth signal, University Blvd. The Prince William Campus will be on your left. Turn left at Freedom Center Boulevard to enter campus.
DIRECTIONS TO PRINCE WILLIAM CAMPUS (10900 University Blvd., Manassas, VA 20110) from I-95 & Eastern Prince William County:
From I-95, take Exit 152 (Route 234 - North, Dumfries Road). Travel approximately 19 miles on Route 234 North. Stay on Route 234 as it becomes Prince William Parkway. One half mile past the Route 28-Manassas interchange, turn right on University Blvd. The Prince William Campus is on the left. Turn left at Freedom Center Boulevard to enter campus.
