Fast-Track Application and Automatic Admission Procedures and Guidelines
The Volgenau School of IT&E has launched a Fast Track Application and Admission process to reward our high-achieving alumni who would benefit from a streamlined application process to any of our Masters degree programs. Under some circumstances (see matrix below), admission to specific Masters degree programs will be offered automatically.
Fast Track Application Requirements
To be eligible to participate in the fast track application process, an applicant must have graduated from any of The Volgenau School of IT & Engineering’s undergraduate degree programs with a GPA of 3.0 or better. Eligible applicants will need to submit the following documents for any of The Volgenau School’s Master degree programs:
- Application form
- Application fee
- One letter of recommendation from a faculty member of The Volgenau School.
Fast Track applicants are subject to the same application deadlines as regular applicants.
Applicants should apply online via the Patriot Web, ensuring that they indicate that they attended George Mason as an undergraduate in their educational history. Also, write “Fast-Track” in the field for the “goals statement.”
Automatic Admission Guidelines
Automatic admission to specific Masters programs is offered under certain conditions according to the chart below.
To read the chart, start by finding your desired masters degree on the left and your earned undergraduate degree on the top. Then read the intersecting square to determine whether you would receive automatic admission (as indicated by an X) or if other circumstances also apply (as indicated by a number in parenthesis). If other circumstances apply, you can find those in the list below the table.
