OVERVIEW

Industry research indicates that 74 percent of all projects fail, come in over budget or are overdue. Twenty-eight percent of projects fail altogether. Proper training and certification can significantly reduce these risks because certified professionals have the knowledge to successfully overcome obstacles and complete projects on time and under budget.

In addition to traditional projects, organizations frequently engage in technology-based initiatives such as business process improvement projects. A CompTIA Project+ certification can be an important credential for individuals leading projects, as it demonstrates knowledge of critical project management and business concepts.

During the course students would be working on a case study to learn and demonstrate their ability to manage an Information Technology project. The students would also be learning and using MS-Project to develop a project plan.

All books and materials are included.
