This course is designed for individuals who are interested in advancing their careers in the in-demand healthcare arena. Students should have basic computer skills and be comfortable in navigating in Microsoft Windows environment.
This course provides a detailed understanding of front-office medical assisting and will provide you with a skill-set that is necessary to manage day-to-day operations of a healthcare facilities such as single/group medical practices, hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities and other health-care agencies. According to US Bureau of Labor Statistics, there will be significant demand for healthcare professionals in the foreseeable future.
The course will cover Medical Terminology, Patient Education, Legal Responsibilities, Compliance and Financial Management. In addition, training will cover Interpersonal skills that are required in a medical setting. Guidelines leading to an improved relationship between healthcare consumers and providers are highlighted in each area to reinforce customer service skills in outpatient settings.
