This course is designed for individuals who have some basic office and administrative skills and are interested in advancing their careers in the in-demand healthcare informatics arena. Students should have basic understanding of computer skills and be comfortable in navigating in Microsoft Windows environment.
This course focuses on practical applications of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and shows how to become proficient in using Electronic Medical Records software on the job. The course will prepare you to manage medical records and related information in different medical setting like individual/group medical practices, health care organizations, long-term care settings, insurance companies, health-care software consulting companies, and/ or government agencies.
