Bersoff Scholarship Endowment
If you have answered yes to two or more of these questions, you may be eligible for the Bersoff Scholarship Endowment at George Mason University. Award Details: A student receiving the Bersoff Scholarship receives in the order of $10,000 per academic year for four years (provided that the student maintains high academic standards at Mason). Award Criteria: Applicants to The Volgenau School within George Mason University who have earned approximately one full-semester of college credits (e.g. earned through AP, IB, dual-enrollment college credits, or similar means) will be given consideration for this award. The recipient must be ranked in the upper five percent (5%) of The Volgenau School applicant pool, and will have demonstrated intellectual maturity, initiative, and independence as conveyed in a letter of reference from former teachers of technical courses. The recipient will also demonstrate strong leadership skills and/or will have participated in and won technical competitions, and will have demonstrated the ability to think out-of-the box. Award Process: Recipients of this award will be selected from the pool of freshmen applicants to The Volgenau School. Students must apply to George Mason University by the January 15 th deadline to receive consideration.
