Engineers Day

We invite you to The Volgenau School’s Engineers Day celebration in honor of National Engineers Week. The event will take place Thursday, February 18, 2010 from 12:00 to 6:00 p.m. in Dewberry Hall, located in the Johnson Center on the Fairfax Campus.

National Engineers Week is dedicated to increasing public awareness and appreciation of engineers and to encourage interest in science, technology, and engineering. The day will be filled with fun and interesting activities hosted by The Volgenau School student clubs and IT & Engineering School Departments who will be showcasing their work in robotics, gaming and other fields.

IEEE ULTIMATE FRISBEE THIS FRIDAY, OCT 30th

IEEE GMU would like to invite you to our first ULTIMATE FRISBEE GAME on Friday, Oct 30th @ 4pm. The location is the field located at the old Cue BUs Stop (See flyer below)

ALL are welcome to join. Bring your friends for an action packed, heart pumping game of Ultimate Frisbee

Upcoming Event: Student Ethical Awareness Conference (SEAC)

IEEE George Mason chapter would like to invite everyone to attend our Annal Student Ethical Awareness Conference. The event is designed for students to investigate the IEEE Code of Ethics and to gain a better understanding of the ethical issues in professional world. We plan to have a speaker followed by an ethics competition. 

Date: Thursday, Nov 5th (Save the date)

Time: 11am to 2pm

Place: Dewberry Hall, Johnson Center

Our agenda is as follows:

11:05am – Welcome by IEEE Faculty Advisor and Student President.

11:15am – Ethics Speaker, Patrick Turner from NRL, presentation

12:15pm – Ethics competition begins

1:45pm – Prizes awarded, closing remarks

IEEE Ice Scream Social

Hello all,

The IEEE ice cream social event coming up next week, on Thursday, September 24 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm.  The event is going to take place in room 2612 of the new engineering building . We’ll have fun games, and we’ll talk to you about upcoming events, so don’t miss it. Also, why would you want to miss a chance to eat some refreshing free ice cream, right?
