Careers and Salary
With the increase in demand for complex integrated systems and the
interfacing required to make these systems user friendly, most of the high
technology companies have focused their resources toward the upcoming field of
systems engineering. Hi-tech giants such as IBM, AT&T, MCI, Sprint,
McDonnell Douglas Corporation, Lockheed Martin, Hughes, and Boeing (to
name just a few) all eagerly recruit graduating Systems Engineering /
Integration / Analysis students to improve their performance in the
market. Government contracts provide a large portion of the jobs for systems engineers. Companies in the private sector
are given large systems development projects by the government. These
projects require a multitude of engineers.
