Covers signal digitization; modulation and demodulation; error correction coding; multiple access methods; multiplexing; synchronization; channel equalization; frequency spreading; encryption; transmission codes; digital transmission using bandwidth compression techniques; elements of information theory; and development of link budget evaluation such as system noise temperature, Nyquist filter concepts, antenna gain, and filter bandwidth.
