Lecture and discussion about Fukushima nuclear accident

The Fukushima nuclear accident in 2011 in northern Japan prompted major evacuations and no-fly zones while radiation leaked from Tokyo Electric Power Company’s (TEPCO) nuclear facility.

On Wednesday, November 13 from noon to 1:30 p.m., Vice Chairman of TEPCO Naomi Hirose will be discussing the Fukushima accident in Merten Hall 1204 on the Fairfax Campus.

Hirose will also be discussing the aftermath of the accident, with a question and answer session moderated by Dean Ball.
