Who is Eligible

  • Mason Engineering alumni who graduated with a 3.0 or better overall GPA in one of our BS programs.

  • Current Mason Engineering undergraduates within one semester of graduation with a 3.0 or better GPA. A final 3.0 or better GPA in the BS must be confirmed prior to first course registration.

  • Students applying to Civil, Environmental, and Infrastructure Engineering graduate programs must have a 3.5 or better overall GPA.

Application Requirements

  • Fill out an online application to a master's degree program at the Volgenau School of Engineering.

  • Upload your transcripts.

  • Upload a blank document or PDF with the words "Fast-Track" in lieu of the Goals Statement on the online application to help us identify your eligibility more quickly.

  • Upload a blank document or PDF with the words "Fast-Track" in lieu of the resume on the online application.

  • Prior to submitting the application, in order to waive the recommendation letters requirement email  vsegadm@gmu.edu with the subject line: Fast Track application. Note: Only applicants who qualify for Fast-Track will receive a waiver.

  • Submit your application and the non-refundable application fee.

Restrictions

  • Applications are subject to deadlines; no exceptions.

  • Applications are not granted automatic admission, nor are students granted special consideration beyond the reduction of required supplementary materials at the time of application.

  • In-state tuition eligibility does not automatically roll over from bachelor's to master's. To be considered for in-state tuition rates, the in-state tuition application must be completed through the online application.

Master's Degree Options
