Carolina Salvador Morales
Associate Professor, Bioengineering
Carolina Salvador Morales joined the Department of Bioengineering at Mason’s Volgenau School of Engineering in 201. She is the founder and director of the Laboratory of Nanotechnology, focusing on the synthesis and applications of a wide range of carriers at the nano and micron-size scale including polymeric and metallic particles, micelles, liposomes, carbon nanotubes and metal-organic frameworks
Salvador Morales received her Doctor in Philosophy (D.Phil) in Chemistry and Material Sciences in 2007 at Oxford University. She was a postdoctoral fellow at Brigham and Women’s Hospital-Harvard Medical School and a postdoctoral associate in the laboratory of Prof. Robert Langer at MIT. She was also a Postdoctoral Kauffman Fellow.
