Biography

Jyh-Ming Lien is an affiliate of the Motion and Shape Computing (MASC) group and the Autonomous Robotics Laboratory at George Mason University. He has taught at George Mason University since 2007. His research goal is to develop efficient, robust, and practical algorithms for designing, manipulating, and analyzing shape, structure, and motion. His research finds applications in the areas of robotics, computational geometry, and computer graphics.

Research

2012 - 2016: Multifunctional Origami Structures-Advancing the Emerging Frontier of Active Compliant Mechanisms. Funded by Penn State University.

2014 - 2015: Development of Dynamic Gridding Tools for the USGS MODFLOW-USG Computer Program for Simulating Groundwater Flow. Funded by Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.

2013 - 2015: Development of Advanced Gridding and Visualization Tools for the USGS MODFLOW-USG Computer Program for Simulating Groundwater Flow. Funded by the US Geological Survey.
