Jessica Lin’s research has focused on the mining of large datasets. In particular, she is working to uncover specific time signatures of data behavior. While most of her work has focused on mining time series data, she has also considered mining images, texts and other types of multimedia data. Lin has published work on time series similarity search, clustering, motif discovery, symbolic representation, visualization, anomaly detection, and grammar induction.
