University Day Marks Employee Service Milestones

University Day, celebrating employees’ service to the Commonwealth of Virginia, was annually observed for many years at George Mason University on one day in early April.

In recent years, service has been recognized in two separate events. “Green day,” celebrated on April 9, congratulates those who have reached a service milestone of five, 10 and 15 years. “Gold day,” celebrated on April 10, recognizes those who have reached a service milestone of 20, 25, 30, 35, 40 or 45 years.
